Description

The skin in the neck area contains a thin layer of muscle belonging to the mimic muscles (the platysma muscle) which creates wrinkles when it is stretched.

As the skin ages, these wrinkles deepen and become more visible. Thread lifting uses the application of absorbable threads that contain tiny hooks that trap the skin and stretch it in the desired direction to remove wrinkles.

Neck Thread Lift

Facts

  • Local anesthesia
  • Outpatient procedure
  • Procedure takes about 45 minutes
  • Recovery within 2 days

The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia, the application is made using single needles, while several threads are needed for neck lifting (around 6 threads - the amount depends on the quality of the skin, the depth of the wrinkles and the desired effect). It is a minimally invasive procedure that does not leave scars.

The effect is visible in a few days after the procedure. This efect is temporary, lasting 1 - 2 years. Another advantage is the stimulation of the synthesis of collagen and elastin fibers around the threads, which leaves rejuvenation even after the threads have been dissolved (approximately 6 - 8 months).

A permanent and long lasting result is possible only with a surgical method (the so-called neck-lift), which is part of a facelift.
